This week I was extremely fortunate to work with 3 beautiful young ladies. Megan, Sofia and Faith joined us as child models for a photoshoot at The Quarry in Shrewsbury. They had traveled from as far as Wales and Lancashire and arrived ready and willing to please. Their professionalism and happy outlook was a breath of fresh air which got me thinking. Could my children perform in this way? Hours of standing in freezing temperatures whilst remembering poses and taking direction from strangers. I think not.
These girls took it in their stride, they loved it! Not once did I hear a “I’m cold” or “I need the loo”. For these girls who travel the world for castings and jobs, a few hours in the cold was nothing! In fact, they really seemed to enjoy it. The model moms and dads were close by with brushes, coats and changes of clothes, the whole family in some cases devoting their time to further their child’s career. I really admire parents who support their children in this way, just happy to stand on the side line watching their starlets shine.
